30th Celebration Mew Cards Are Coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket
Share
The three "RGB" Mew cards from the 30th Celebration set are coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. PokeBeach reported on 27 October that they'll be in the First Partners Special Pack, which opens in the app on 31 October. It's the first time cards from a physical set this new have been added to Pocket.
The app versions have 10 more HP than the paper cards and do a different amount of damage, according to PokeBeach.
What's in the First Partners pack
Alongside the three Mew, the pack has 27 starter Pokémon cards, covering all nine regions. The ones shown so far use the same art as the First Partner Illustration Collection cards released in paper this year. The pack runs from 31 October to 26 December and uses its own Special Pack stamina, which refills once a week. Each pack has at least one ★ card.
We haven't seen pull rates for the Mew in Pocket yet. PokeBeach expects them to be very hard to get, as they are in 30th Celebration booster packs.
Dual Fusion goes live first
Before that, the Dual Fusion expansion launches at 6pm Pacific time on 28 October, which is 1am on 29 October in the UK. It brings Pocket's first dual-type Pokémon, Mega Mewtwo X ex (Psychic and Fighting) and Mega Greninja ex (Water and Darkness). Six Dual Fusion rental decks are available until 15 December. From 29 October to 14 December there's also a second anniversary gift, a ticket for a pack with a guaranteed ★★ card.
What it means for UK collectors
If the Pocket version has you wanting the real card, the paper Mews only come from 30th Celebration packs, where they're rare. Buying the single you want costs less than opening packs until it turns up.
