Japan always gets new Pokémon cards first, and the next few months are packed. Here's what's coming from the Japanese Pokémon TCG: the 30th CELEBRATION Card Sets, a new MEGA promo pack, and the rumoured Aura Seeker set starring Mega Lucario Z ex.

Japanese Pokémon Release Schedule: Autumn 2026

• 16 September 2026 – M6a 30th CELEBRATION (out now)
• 16 October 2026 – 30th CELEBRATION Card Set × 9

M6a 30th CELEBRATION (Out Now)

The Japanese 30th anniversary set released on 16 September 2026. It's an enhanced expansion with 6 cards per pack, full of anniversary-themed cards and Special Illustration Rares. Japanese packs are known for great print quality and centring, which makes M6a a favourite for graders.

30th CELEBRATION Card Set × 9 – 16 October 2026

On 16 October, Japan gets nine 30th CELEBRATION Card Sets, one for each generation from Generation 1 to Generation 9. Each set is themed around that generation's starter trio and costs ¥1,200 including tax. Fans who want a full set of all nine will have a great display piece for the anniversary.

MEGA Promo Pack Update – 1 November 2026

A new line-up for the Japanese MEGA Promo Packs starts on 1 November, adding more promo cards to the Mega Evolution era.

Aura Seeker: Mega Lucario Z ex (Rumoured)

Aura Seeker (ハドウシーカー, "Hadou Seeker") is a Japanese set that PokeBeach has reported for 27 November 2026, after a trademark filing for the name. The Pokémon Company has not officially announced it yet, so treat this as a rumour until it's confirmed.

As the name suggests, Aura Seeker is expected to star Mega Lucario Z ex, the new Mega Evolution from Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Lucario is one of the most popular Pokémon in the TCG, so this could be a big set for collectors.

When will Aura Seeker come out in English?

Nothing is confirmed. Japanese sets usually reach English a couple of months later, so early 2027 is a reasonable guess.
